Terms & Conditions

Acceptance of our services is deemed acceptance of our Terms and Conditions and an agreement to pay our fees on time.

General

We reserve the right to either impose supplementary charges and/or terminate this agreement if the assignment changes from the description given by the client, and needs more time or responsibility, or if there is a change in the nature of the assignment which could not have been reasonably foreseen by either party.

We will not be liable for any damage or injury caused by your pet(s), excepting that of proven Third Party.

We cannot be held liable for any theft or damage to your property or injury/illness to your pet(s), unless we can be shown to be negligent.

We cannot be held responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged leads, collars, harnesses, tags, clothing or any other item left with your pet(s).

We reserve the right to deny or terminate service because of safety or financial concerns.

Health & Safety

If your pet(s) has/have any medical issues, these must be disclosed during the initial consultation.

All pets in our care must be up to date with vaccinations, de-worming, flea and tick treatments. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure this is the case.

We cannot look after animals known to have a potentially contagious infection or illness, even on a one-to-one basis, because of the risk of cross-infection.

We will not feed deep chested dogs in the hour presiding or after a walk, because of the risk to your dog(s) of gastric torsion.

Although every care is taken to prevent contact with dogs with kennel cough, the incubation period means that it is always possible your dog(s) may pick this up and we cannot be held liable for your dog(s) contacting kennel cough. We strongly advise you discuss kennel cough vaccination with your vet.

We will not look after animals who wear choke chains or electric collars, nor will we administer negative punishment (smacking or any other method which may cause the animal pain or distress).

For safety and identification purposes, all dogs and cats in our care must be microchipped. Dogs that we walk must also be tagged and wearing a collar.

Behaviour

Any behavioural issues must be disclosed during the initial consultation.

We reserve the right to refuse or stop looking after any pet that may be considered dangerous to people or other animals.

You agree to notify us immediately if your pet(s) start/s displaying unwelcome, aggressive or dangerous behaviour that has potential to cause harm to people or other animals.

Weather Conditions

Extreme weather conditions may mean a curtailment or cancellation of our services at short notice, and we may be delayed in getting to your pet(s). If we are unable to get to your pet(s), we will let you know ASAP.

Cancellation

48 hours' notice is required for all cancellations. If not given, you will be charged the full fee for the service.

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel for personal reasons or illness, we will contact you ASAP via the contact details you have provided and issue a full refund if you have already paid for the service. We will also provide as much help as we can to find someone else to undertake the service that day.

Changes to our Terms and Conditions can be made at any time, without prior notice. It is up to you to check the details of our Terms and Conditions from time to time on The Four-Legged Cuddle Club website.
